Description

A Civilised Country is the story of 11 Iraqi torture victims, a forensic scientist, an indignant lawyer, and a whistleblower who sacrifices all to get the truth out in the open before the Danish Ministry of Defence buries the evidence. The parties meet in a historical court case about the role and responsibility of the Danish state regarding claims of torture in November 2004 during the Iraq war.
