Me and the Jewish Thing is a humorous and frank documentary dealing with the existential questions that new parents of differing cultural backgrounds encounter when deciding which family traditions to pass on to their children.

“Here I am – the last bastion – guarding Felix’s foreskin,” says Signe, Felix’s mother, convincing Ulrik that he, Felix’s father, has to learn more about his own Jewishbackground in order to decide which Jewish family traditions to pass on to his son. Is Felix to be circumcised or not? Besides producing the documentary, Copenhagen Film Company has developed an accompanying educational web site with assignments for lower and upper secondary school.
